Inverted Smoke
Inverted Smoke
2015

The work is modeled after the abstraction of a cloud to show the beautiful scenery and smoke-filled imagination in Yuejing, Yenshui district, Tainan. It also shows the image of the famous Yenshui Firecrackers. This geometry which is made of pine strips to reflect the flow of cloud and smoke. With the method of photography – Cyanotype, the natural beauty of found nature and everyday objects from the area are burned into the fibre from the hot Tainan sun. Because this work is put on the water, with the waves and shadows, it doubles the visual effects of flow and smoke.
