Through the Time
Bamboo, oyster shells, recycled oyster strings, sisal rope
2018

The sculpture is a very large textile pattern related to a QR code with a huge knitting needle and textile materials coming down from it. The knitting design is made with white oyster shells and the dark water of the wetlands and represents a reference to technology in the natural environment. The artwork using old knowledge of textile weaving combined with contemporary technology focuses on the concept of looking at the past and considering the future.

The work is part of the ChengLong Wetlands International Environmental Art Project “What a Difference 9 Years Makes”
