Social Identity
Installation at Taipei Artist Village Gallery
attempts to showcase the relationships between human and nature, old and new by questioning if the effort of reserving cultural heritage meets with the values and situations of modern society if human actually deviate from the meaning of nature and life at the same time as they pursue innovation and progress? By taking advantage of the opportunity in residing in Thailand as an artist, the role of media in traditional art and culture was explored while the relationship between tradition and contemporary was discussed. The abstract spiritual level and imaginations are connected by symbols, objects, and images.
The residency project in Thailand was at the Silpakorn University from 1 Oct to 29 Dec in 2014. The exhibition at Taipei Artist Village was 18 April to 17 May in 2015
