Carrying a bag is a kind of responsibility. There is not only the physical weight of the bag itself, but also the meaning attached to it. The space inside the bag can represent your private life. But in “A Building Bag,” the bag folds out so that it can be used as a shelter, transforming a private space into a public area. Here, the bag symbolizes an attempt to run away and hide from reality. But in the attempt to escape, one finds herself in an embarrassing situation that happens every day in modern life. No matter how you try to leave, you’re still stuck in the frame of society and the cage of normal values.
