Polystyrene found by the riverside, wool felt, yarns, fabric, wood
2024

The work is composed of various polystyrene pieces collected from the outlet of the Zengwen River in Taiwan and covered with the wool by felting them. These polystyrene pieces, akin to stones washed by time, are remnants of nature and human activity. The layered wool, transformed through the hands-on process of rubbing, pressing, and felting by many people, signifies a dialogue and interweaving of the individual and the collective, echoing the blend and felt-like state between nature, time, and life. The tufted carpet installation on the ground represents the traces of the water and sands of the low tide on the beach.
